READING
READING FOR MAIN IDEAS Read the text. Then find the correct words to complete the sentences. My first time in Buenos Aires was amazing and strange at the same time. I’m from a small town in Oklahoma, so I like quiet and food – lots of food. And I had lots of great meals in Buenos Aires, especially the meat. Everything was great for the first two days, but it changed on the third day. This happened when the town’s soccer team, River Plate, won the Libertadores Cup for the fifth time.
That evening, soccer fans partied all night in the streets. There was loud music and dancing everywhere!
I was not able to sleep! I don’t understand why people do that when their team wins.
All this taught me a lesson. I love Buenos Aires – the people, the food – I even
love Argentinian soccer! So, I want to go back, but not during any big soccer games. That I’m sure of.
