Hi! I’m Silvie. Thanks for watching my Your video channel. Many of you asked me to make a video about things that we international students at American colleges need to know. Well, here’s my answer.

Here are five students from other countries giving advice on things every foreign student should know about living in the US for the first time.

Keila: If your flight is more than ten hours, you may feel tired the first week of class. So bring lots of water and coffee to school.

João: Make friends before vacation starts. Everybody goes home, and you don’t want to be alone at school watching everyone’s social media sites. Believe me.

Farid: Don’t be surprised by how much food they give you here. Remember, it’s a lot, but the food is delicious, too!

Antonio: It’s OK if you don’t know much about popular movies or art. You can always laugh a little and look it up later on the internet.

Kim: It’s OK if you don’t talk to your parents every day, because when they are up during the day and free to call you, you’re not!

Let me just say, don’t worry too much and have fun! Let me know what you think. And if you like the video
